Information regarding Y11 release

The Fronter Y11 release is currently being rolled out, the exact schedule depending on your location. Please refer to the list below for further information and pointers, and do not hesitate to contact your local team in case of any questions.

The most striking element of Fronter Y11 is the introduction of a brand new design. Navigation and interaction within the new looking Fronter has been altered to make the system more in tune with modern web applications, easier to use and cleaner.

Correspondingly, please note that in some cases an upgrade to Y11 may effectively require clearing the browser cache in order for all visual and other elements to update properly.

Y11 Roll-out Information

We are pleased to announce the preliminary roll-out schedule for the Fronter Y11 release. Unless you have heard otherwise from your Fronter account manager or customer contact, the upgrades to Y11 will commence on week 35, starting Aug 29th.

Please note the above only applies to Fronter installations hosted on the Oslo hosting centre (that is, with URLs starting with "fronter.com/").

What browsers are supported in Fronter Y11?

Please note this article involves the Fronter Y11 release, rolled out during autumn 2011. For Y10 browser support, please see here.

Fronter is 100% web based and will run on all devices that can launch a modern web browser with support for W3C standards, although some functionality may not be fully supported by all browsers.

The Oslo hosting centre is expanding

To improve the services we provide you and to prepare for the new schools coming on-board this autumn, we are in the process of expanding and updating the Oslo hosting centre, where most of the Fronter installations are hosted.

While this does not cause any downtime or interruptions to our users, it is crucial that all possible firewall exceptions in your local area network are made for the whole Fronter server IP range. The IP range is 158.36.191.0/25.
