Upcoming change in the Start of Year procedures

We are pleased to announce improvements in the Fronter Y10 Start of Year functionality, including changes in copying rooms and activating imported rooms. The changes listed below will be released on Wednesday, 8th of June 2011, for installations hosted in the Oslo hosting centre (with URLs having the form "fronter.com/customer").

New version of Copy Room

• Copying rooms will now be performed as a background job, enabling you to copy larger rooms than what has been previously possible.
• All copy/import/export tasks will be handled by a background queue. For exports, you will receive a link to download the exported rooms once the process is complete.
• Due to new functionality, room zip files from Fronter 91 or earlier will no longer be supported. Similarly, rooms exported from Fronter Y10 after this Start of Year improvement release cannot be imported into Fronter92 or earlier versions of Fronter.
  

Create new rooms based on Example rooms

• When creating a new room in Fronter you will be presented with an option to select an Example room from Start of Year panel.
• There will be example rooms available in different languages and educational settings

Admin access to Start of Year-panel

• The Start of Year panel will now be available for administrators within all rooms, and can be used at any time if so required.
