Changes to live Fronter
On Thursday, February 16th, the Blackboard Collaborate service (the web conferencing tool suite formerly known as Elluminate) is migrated to a new hosting facility.
The migration takes place on Thu, Feb 16th, starting from 2100 CET and is estimated to take up to three hours. During the migration, the Blackboard Collaborate service will be unavailable. Fronter itself is not affected. Please note this affects all hosting sites.
How does this affect me as a user?
All old Liveroom and Meeting sessions and recordings are migrated to the new site and will continue to work as usual. (Note that recordings refer to the Elluminate pluspacks.)
As a part of the migration, the URLs to the Blackboard Collaborate service will change but we will be updating the links within the Fronter Liveroom and Meeeting tools so they point to the new site immediately.
For any old links stored in emails or external documents, users following such a link will see a landing page informing of the change and instructing what to do.
