This package contains information describing IMS XML integration with Fronter.

Please note many MIS/SAS produce output as required by Fronter out of the box, so to determine whether this documentation is relevant for you, please liaise with your local Fronter representatives.

This documentation is written for a technical audience familiar with the MIS/SAS used at your institution.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Fronter uses an international widely acknowledged standard for integrating MIS data - refer to IMS Global best practice if you are unfamiliar with this standard.

FEM transfer software for Windows clients.

A software tool for uploading XML or CSV files to your fronter building via established webservice.

Installation instructions:

Download and run the file.

The file installs on any Windows PC and enables a daily transfer of selected files to your fronter installation via a Webservice URL created in the fronter integration setup tool inside fronter. (admin/tools/integration setup)

Paste the webservice URL into the FEM software during setup and test the connection settings from within the software.

Apply the running frequency (daily including/excluded weekends) and time for the export to run.

Point to any folder or file to upload folder content.

The files a hash tagges upon upload ensuring no redundant files are imported more than once.
