Hello. Got another issue..

I can not use the Multiple Upload function when uploading files to the resources section in any rooms. I get an error message when I first select to do this and then another if I attempt anyway. I have attached a print screen of the two messages I get.

I have tried researching but can not find a solution.. Does anyone know why this isn't working?

I got this error and found I had to put the proxy information in the Java network settings

Are you trying to the Multiple Upload function on the school network? If so, do you have a proxy on you netowrk? If you do, you will need make sure that put the proxy information in the Java network settings.

Also you can try to use the Multiple Upload function and see if it works to determine if it is the school network security preventing the java being in used.

Thanks for the info on this folks. Like most people, Java detect browser settings works quite happily with other applications, so why it has to fail in Fronter i don't know.

We push out our proxy details via Group Policy and usually detect browser settings should apply and direct through the proxy. Why is it that Multiple uploads needs proxy details, yet single upload does not?

The single file upload is a regular HTML form, so on a par with most of the things on a web page. The multiple uploader is a Java applet that, while being embedded on the web page, communicates with the server directly, i.e. not through the browser at all.

Tried changing the java network settings and the user reports that fronter still displaying the error about postURL onscreen.

Is there any other fix for this?

I'm trying to keep the momentum for Fronter going and they are loosing patience lol
