TOPIC: Using Survey in Fronter

Using Survey in Fronter 1 year, 2 months ago #1208

Just a couple of quick questions:-
1) Does each Tick Box have to have a unique score eg 10,20,30 or can they all be the same value? I don't want to cause any 'weighting' in the report results.
2) Does Survey require each user to log-in with a unique ID? We want to run a Parent Survey and I had hoped to just issue a single parent log-in (which can be removed after the survey ends)but never having used this before I don't know how it works!
3) Is there a way to set the 'landing page' to Classroom and totally hide the 'Today' page? I only want participants to see the introductory page and then click on the Survey Icon?

Thank You

Steven

Steven,
As you require individual answers from parents but using the same login I would suggest that you don't use a survey but use a test inside a room and set this up to allow for multiple answers from the same user, it's one of the options. Then have a question which asks either their name or the name of their child etc. Full reporting tools are available to get graphs etc.
The scoring can be flexible as you suggest.
To get the room to appear as the default when they log in you create a group in 01 Manually Created u
sers and add your parent user to that group. Create the room. Click on the group name and then on the Settings Tab on the right. Now click for Design>Add Room as Separate Tab and make sure you click the Default radio button. Now when the user logs in they see that room first. Just design an attractive front page with a link to the 'survey'.

Thank you Simon,

I wish I'd known about the survey being a 'once-only' for each log-in before I created it!!

Is there a way I can export all the questions in the surveys (there are two of them) into a test or do I have to retype it all again? There is an import option on the create survey but I can't see an export one.

The Separate Tab thingy works a treat as well. Thank you.

Sorry Stephen, you're going to have to re-type - unless someone who comes along in a moment knows better??
The import is used when you have a QuestionDB (Database) which you stack with questions first and then use them in a Test or Survey. QuestionDB is an additional tool you can add to a room.

Cheers Simon, you know how to make my day! LoL .

Ok, back to typing up 60 odd questions again then, hey ho and I thought Fronter was supposed to be user-friendly!
