I want to have an artical, or page that I update but is seen in multiple rooms. I tried to create an article but when I tried to display it in other rooms you dont have the option. You can only see something that is in the file system for that room.

I want to have a page that lists assemblie times but I dont want to have to go to each tutor group room to update this each week. I want one page that can be added to the front page of many rooms. Is this possible?

I know I can link to the page but wanted to remove the additional task of students having to click on a link to read something.

One way to do this is to create an HTML page somewhere else on the Internet and make a new User-defined button in each room who open in the same page (inside frames). Then it looks for people that they are in Fronter and you may update it just one place.

It's a workaround, but maybee not ideal...

You can also make a Page or Article in a room (in a hidden folder or hidden roomtool) where you know everyone have access to, such as a supportroom or general information room and then use a User defined button just as Lars above suggested and link to the Page/Article. This way you don't need any external webspace.

Thank you for both replies, however I wanted to avoid another link and was hoping to show the page/artical on the Frontpage of each room. I can not see this as an option which is a little bit frustrating. With 50 tutor rooms adding the page to each room and editing them all weekly is not an option.

You can also handle this by using google docs for example.

Make a Google docs document

Goto Archive - Embed (Not 100% sure on names as I use swedish version)

Get the embed code, should look something like this:


Open notepad (or similar)

paste in the code and then edit it until it looks like this




Then goto fronter and, open your frontpage, add a text container, select source, paste the above code. Rinse and repete for all rooms. Now you have one document to edit.

Thank you for the work around. Although I havent used Google Docs yet I will give it a go. Looks like the best option.
