THEMA: <p> &nbsp; </p>

<p> &nbsp; </p> 11 Monate, 3 Wochen her #1329

Text elements in a fronter page always get a non-breaking space in a final paragraph, at least when using tables for content layout.

This means a lot of space between successive text elements.

Do anyone know some kind of workaraound for this?

best regards,
Claus B.

This is a known bug which I hope they fix asap.

The only workaround that I have found is to remove the code (in codeview) and save without going back to normal view.

We are investigating this for possible solutions, but should say this is effectively a "feature" of the CKEditor that we have integrated. The space is added by CKEditor so that the display has a blinking cursor on a new, empty line in the end. Especially so with tables, preventing the cursor from being on the right side of the table.

Hope the workaround Douglas mentions works for you in the meantime.

With the increased use of template room and that fronter want us to use template rooms to get a more professional experiance, it's importat to get this "feature" fixed. Using template rooms such as Billyfronter breaks down due to these extralines. At least from the perspective to get a nice professional layout.

A workaround for this is to add class="hidden":

<p class="hidden"> &nbsp; </p>

Good idea.

I guess it would be possible to use CSS to define a new heading typography named 'hidden line', with the 'hidden' attribute, and make instructions for all users of Fronter. Haven't tested myself.

Well, the 'feature' of the free CKEditor could also be improved by support of a professional programmer for the purpose of making the best available learning management system...
