TOPIC: Tool Packages

Tool Packages 11 months, 1 week ago #1354

It must be that time of year again ... trying to tidy-up but I cannot see the tools!

I have tool packages that I want to delete. Apparently I cannot because '<b>Delete Failed.</b> Profile is still in use.' complete with the b tags!!!

OK ... where is the tool that allows me to see where these 'profiles' are used? Does tool package = profile?

Some of my tool packages have been duplicated and renamed ... I do not know how or why ...

When I create a new room I am seeing tool packages that are not in the 02 section of my school ... are they somewhere else? are they from fronter or the LEA? Where is the tool that finds them ... and deletes them ... I am fed up of staff complaints because ... in creating a room ... the tols were wrong.

etc. etc.

Not sure if this will help you or not so here goes nothing;

Have you looked at the 'settings' on your 'school name node' (not node 02 policy groups)? Under 'settings' there should be 'tool packages.' In there you'll find your default LEA tool package alongside any bespoke tool packages that have been created for your school.

You should have the option to edit/close/delete any or all of those tool packages.

Interested to know if that helps you at all.

I cannot delete them

They are 'in use' but I do not know where!!!

Re: Tool Packages 9 months, 1 week ago #1405

Rather than deleting the tool packages that are incorrect you could just edit them so that they are correct? Any changes you make will be automatically cascaded to all the rooms that use those particular tool packages. That should save you from having to delete the rooms that use the incorrect tool packages (because I think that would be your only alternative).

Can't the 'Close'-choice be of any help?
I imagine it will stop anyone from using this tool-package?

You need to contact fronter support and have them clean up the mess. No other option Im afraid.
