To find a contact who has been removed from all organizational units, it seems I should use the Personal Tools>Search form.

If the sought contact is not in any unit, the search forms allows me to look for 'Contacts created by you'. What happens if the sought contact was created by someone else?

I would go into the admin module and press on the group x_nonmembers. That is the group Fronter use to hold on to contacts which have no other group assosiation. You may also search directly in this group.

Seems wrong that at a school level, we can loose visibility of our own students.

If the student are not assosiated with any group, how should Fronter know that the student belongs to your school
