TOPIC: WYSIWYG displaying different font

WYSIWYG displaying different font 1 year, 1 month ago #1253

Hi,

Our WYSIWYG editor displays a different font when in use and editing a page which means that it really isn't 'What You Get'. The only way to see how a page will look is to exit the editor. The font size is also smaller than our default and it doesn't preview (via the Preview button) in the correct font either.

To compound the problem the font in the editor is a serif font (looks like Times New Roman) whereas our I think our site-wide default is Arial which is sans serif.

Is it that the editor doesn't pick up any CSS from the template so runs independently of it? I can't see any global settings for the editor that we can change. Apologies if there are any.

Thanks.

I can attach 2 screenshots showing the difference between the font we see within the editor and in non-edit mode.

If someone could shed light on this please it would be much appreciated.

I would really appreciate a response to this query please. To edit and build pages in a different font and font size to the installation's default is not a particularly satisfactory situation.

Thanks

The editor takes its default font from the browser. You'll want to either
1) Change the browser default font (Internet Options/Font), or
2) Always specify font in the editor toolbar

Hope this helps!

Thanks very much!

I want to ensure that the font I set in the browser matches that of our installation. I wasn't here when we started with Fronter so could you let me know where I need to go to configure the default font for our installation please?

Thanks.

There has also been an issue in how the editor loads the default styling information to the edit mode, resulting in a possible mismatch between editing and displaying. The fix for this is in production tomorrow Friday 27th.
